Sylvan Woods was completed and ready for occupancy in 2007. The property includes 28 rental apartments, parking and shared community space. It is currently home to a total of 52 residents, including 13 children.

Sylvan Woods is described by many as “a small community” that fits neatly within the framework of the village and is within walking distance to local services, shops, and schools. The apartments will remain perpetually affordable.

Financing provided by the Vermont Housing & Conservation Board, Vermont Housing Finance Agency, Vermont Community Development Program through the Town of Stowe, US Department of HUD, Efficiency Vermont, and the Green Mountain Equity Fund.

Eight for-sale condominium homes at Sylvan Woods were also completed. These efficient 5 Star Plus Energy Rated homes provided opportunities for homeownership to local working families and older residents looking to downsize.

LHP provided purchase assistance to three qualifying first-time homebuyers through its shared equity Homeland program. These buyers agree to share in the equity of the home at the time of resale ensuring these homes will remain
affordable to median income buyers over time.
